This week I have been with my director Angela Gasparetto rehearsing the living heck out of my solo theatre show, Jon Udry Punches Gravity in the Face. It feels slightly strange to rehearse this show in all honesty. I first started writing this show almost three years ago now, and the person I am now, compared to the person I was then, are very different people. Don’t get me wrong, I still like the show, but I am very ready to make an entirely different show now. Planning has started on making my new show, Jon Udry Having a Ball, which I am very excited about. More news about that coming soon.
JUPGITF is an autobiographical show about my life and juggling. It contains some scenes I am very proud of, and some quite cringeworthy stories of my child hood. It was a very large leap for me to learn a show that was scripted, and to deliver some text that ISN’T comedy driven, so I am very proud that I managed to push myself far out of my comfort zone to a level that I am very pleased with. I really rate it as a show, and if you haven’t seen it, and fancy seeing it, and live near to Salisbury or Trowbridge, and are free on the 22nd and 23rd February, then you are in luck. I am performing at Salisbury Arts Centre on the 22nd February. Here is the link:
And I am performing it at Trowbridge Town Hall on the 23rd February. The link for this one is here:
Come along and say hello!
